Our Veterinary Technicians have over 30 years experience. They excel in their duties which include performing blood draws, placing and monitoring catheters, overseeing the administration of fluids, obtaining immediate bloodwork results in our lab, taking x-rays, filling and dispensing prescribed medications, monitoring anesthesia during surgeries and overseeing and performing, as directed by our doctors, post surgical care as well as the care of our hospitalized patients. They understand the importance of quiet, efficient yet always affectionate care for any pet who may be ill or stressed while away from home. We are one of only a very few veterinary hospitals in the area to have such an experienced, committed and gifted, long-term technician staff.
A Registered Veterinary Technician, has been with us since 2000. She is our technician supervisor. She has 6 dogs and 2 cats and lives in the mountains.
A Registered Veterinary Technician, has been with us since 2002. She has 2 Collies, Phoenix & Drummer, and a brown tabby kitten, Rumplestilskin. She was born in Florida, but has lived in Rhode Island, the United Kingdom, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, Hawaii and Virginia. She has lived in Maryland since 1980, after graduating from Mary Washington College. Beth spent many years training and competing with a variety of breeds in multiple disciplines, achieving success in Obedience, Rally, Herding, Field and Nose Work.
Has been with us since 1998. She loves the water and is a member of the Merry Point Sail Club. She has a crazy, red headed Australian Cattle Dog named K’holo, 1 cat named Stump and 6 chickens.
Started working for us in 2009, when she was 18. She has 3 dogs, Gracie, Remi and Isabella. She plans on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician because she is planning on continuing in the animal field.
Has been working with animals for 10 years. She has 14 pets including dogs, cats, fish and reptiles. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, hiking and spending time with her son.
Was born in Wisconsin, went to Virginia Tech, but has been in this area for the past 40 years. She finds it very rewarding having an impact on sick animals to make them well again. She has 2 dogs, Banjo and Tango, both are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Enjoys working here because the doctors and staff are compassionate and the clients are friendly. She most appreciates seeing the sick and injured pets leave here happy and healthy. She has Ripley who is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Trixie is a tabby cat, Fry is an orange marble tabby and she has 2 parakeets named Sunshine and Lollipop.
