Barbara Pisciotta, Practice Manager
Barbara grew up in the Bethesda, Chevy Chase area, attended Sweet Briar College and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After her marriage and move to Olney, when her two children were older, she was able to follow a lifelong love of animals and start working in the veterinary field. She managed a small veterinary practice in DC for two years and then joined Dr Amoroso as manager of his Falls Road Veterinary Hospital in Potomac in 1990. She celebrated her twenty year anniversary with Dr Amoroso last November, 2010.
Barbara’s two children are grown now. Her daughter, Courtney lives just outside of San Francisco in Walnut Creek, with her husband and two teenage children. Barbara and her husband, Tony, travel to visit them there every chance they get! Barbara’s son, Brett, is married and is a lawyer practicing locally in Rockville.
Barbara and Tony currently share their home with a noisy, too smart for his own good, Australian Shepherd named Josh and a long-haired, blue-eyed Husky named Lexie.
